WELCOME TO SWIM TROJAN LEARNING AND MOTIVATION CONSIDERATIONS
A Comparison of Options
Following a Cost Effectiveness Analysis (CEA) as well as accounting for motivation and learning considerations, it was found that the asynchronous methodology best meets supports the learner's needs at Swim Trojan. The motivation and learning rationale are described further below.
THE OPTIONS
Please click a button under an image to see the learning and motivation considerations of each option

IN-PERSON
Demonstration/ modeling on a CPR Dummy followed by practicing demonstrated techniques in small groups as the facilitator walks around the room observing techniques and offering feedback as needed
ASYNCHRONOUS
A video modeling proper techniques followed by a simulated experience that delivers immediate feedback
THE WINNER IS...
Asynchronous! While the in-person option was more cost effective, the asynchronous achieves more of the learning and motivation outcomes. As such, it is more likely to lead to transfer and promote meaningful learning which will generate a greater ROI in the long-run.
